Breaking The LAW: Q&A w/ Matt Lindland

Matt Lindland is one of those fighters that are talented enough to fight any athlete at any weight in the world. However, this top ranked middleweight may be without an organization he can call home. The former Olympic Silver Medalist was let go from his UFC contract amid controversy in 2005 after winning four fights in a row (two in the UFC). At that time, he was the number one contender to Rich Franklin’s UFC Middleweight Title. But since that win streak, Lindland has gone 5 – 2 in six different organizations with the only two losses coming out of his natural weight class – a controversial decision loss to current UFC Light-heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson and an armbar loss to the former Pride Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko. But even though his current Bodog contract might be in limbo, his attitude doesn’t change -- Lindland will fight anyone in any organization at any time. With many questions surrounding his immediate future, here is what Lindland told ADCC News in this quick Q&A.
ADCC: Matt we’ve only seen you fight twice this year, a win against Carlos Newton and a loss to Fedor Emelianenko. Looking at your recent years in professional fighting, this has been a slow year. Why haven’t you fought more?
MATT: Bodog is why I haven’t fought more there are plenty of guys out there I would like to fight.

But only one is there who knows
and he's the man who fights the bull.
Every time I see Lindland I think about Don Frye describing him a "an albino orangutang".
Lindland has had some controversies (sp? lol) but he is still an insanely talented athlete
useful lindland coaching quote - "never neglect to hurt a guy when you're fighting him."
