Figure 4 Neck Crank
Fri Apr 29, 2005 6:00 am
Sometimes when working on a standing front choke or guillotine, switching off to a figure-4 Neck Crank might just do the trick. One of my fighters has had great success with this technique.
Step 1
June starts with a front choke on Kim. | Step 2
June releases her grip and catches her left bicep with her right hand. |
Step 3
Keeping the figure 4 grip, June places her left palm on Kim's right shoulder. | Step 4
June leans backward and presses Kim's shoulder away and downward as she pulls her right forearm up and leans her right shoulder backwards. |

ooooohhhh This looks nice. I am a big fan of cranks, locks and twists. Cervical, spine and all the other goodies. I can't wait to try it out. My only issue is that the end loks a little shakey. I think it would be hard to prevent them from popping their shoulder free and closing the distance. I suppose you would either have to do it fast or if their shoulder pops free the guilotiene is right there.![]()
