The Darce Choke For Grapplers With Short Arms
I sometimes have students that ask me about sinking in certain submissions. If they have shorter legs some have difficulty with the triangle and for those with shorter arms - they may have some difficulty with the Darce choke. Well, Marcelo Motta may have the solution.

It looks to me like it might be hard to be tight on the blood in this variation, but I could be wrong. That said, I make T-Rex look like he has wrong arms, so I am definately going to play with this.

Id be worried about the crank, but he points out some good details about how to finish the darce that Im going to remember. namely, the switching of the hips back and forth, and then the arching the back as you raise that one elbow up. I think it'll sharpen my darce a bit!

Hey. It is isn't a neck crank, because its a choke. You might want to be nice in training, but by the rules you are golden. At least that is my understanding. The way i see it, it is like you are in a good RNC or bow and arrow and the guy is being hardnosed buring his chin. You throw in you hips and you are necking him, he neck cranking himself.
I really the grip. It is different that what i have seen to compensate for small limbs. Here your deep upper cutting arm is in textbook postion unlike the grip i have used.
