I am in the guard position holding onto Eddie's wrists
without letting go of Eddie's wrists, I shoot my right leg over his left shoulder as I lift my hips. My left foot is on Eddie's hip to help my spin
After I create the angle, I lock my legs into the Triangle position
I unlock my legs, straighten up, and pull my right leg back out
I now shoot my left leg up over Eddie's right shoulder and lift my hips off the mat
Once my leg is all the way through, I step on Eddie's left hip with my right leg to spin to the left
I can now lock up the triangle on the other side.

"Tap snap or nap." -The submission fighters moddo and threat, but most of all its our way of life.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, not enough fighters can fight on their backs. Great drill Chaz.

This is a great drill to demonstrate the hip movement in a triangle choke, especially for those like myself, who absolutely need this angle to close their short legs! Tall guys w/ long legs suck!

glad you guys like it!
i love this move nice coach
Hey chaz...from step one to two, how would you get your leg from under his arm to over it? I have always pushed that left arm through and swung the leg over. It just seems like a step might be missing. The rest looks great though.
My biggest strength is my strength because I'm strong. That's my biggest strength.

Roac, push the arm out to the side and roll back to your shoulders and shoot your leg over.
working both angles is always a must

glad you guys like it!
after drilling this you can feel when someone just falls into a triangle
Being attacked is like being asked a question- if you answer right you won't get asked anymore questions.
Great looking drill; it seems to focus alot on moving the hips which as an noob grappler, and former high school wrestler, is sorta unfamiliar to me.

If he says so, then it must be the case. He probably knows better. Let him try to take advantage of it, and And I will do my thing
