Anybody watch star trek

I have been watching star trek and a couple of things bug me about the show. Maybe you guys can help me figure some stuff out

1.the prime directive on the show is not to interfere with people, yet all they do is butt into peoples business and tell them how to live their life.

2. when you are transported you die and a clone is made in the new place...so the people on the show are clones of a clone of a clone....screw that crap, why would you choose to go through it and can you be held responsible for something your previous clone did.

3. when they are materialize some where cant you just put a knife where they are appearing and they would die cause the knife would be stuck in them. Everytime they show up it takes a few seconds to become whole, seems like you would just shoot them with your phaser as they appear.

4. How come only humans are in charge of a ships in the federation, thats some racist crap.

5.Why do they think they can police the universe. They show up and are like who are you and why are you here.

Always preferred Star Wars.  I was turned off of the Trek at a very young age due to my uncle being a huge Trekkie.  You definitely bring up some interesting points.

another thing that pisses me off is how do you dodge a laser...i mean wtf is that about. it takes the laser 2 seconds to go across the room.

If I was lt Johnson I would not want to look over there.

The landing party was always Kirk, Spock, Dr, Scotty and Lt Johnson.    Kirk would then say, let's look over here, lt Johnson, you go check over there.      Lt Johnson never came back!

out of 80 shows of star trek 59 crew members died, 73% of them wore a red shirt

on board death's 42.5%

beaming down 57.5%

there were 130 fights in 80 shows

18 of those fights ended in death.. 13 of those red shirts.
