Anyone ever notice this -- regarding omoplata's
It always seems like when someone is put in a omoplata that 90% of the time they easily get out of it by just doing a little forward roll and then the guy that was previously in an omo gets into a better postion after the roll.
The best part of snap on's post.... "That used to heppen to me when I was a WHITE belt. "
... just kidding.. just prepare for the roll bro.
I giggled at that too Chaz
, but it's a good point by bringing up the part of experience in one's game. Your same side hand/arm is going to be the only thing keeping him from rolling. There's also the counter/counter if they do roll, roll again too.
Grab his belt/leg/hook over his back with your arm, before you scoot your hips and try to get it graciejjbrasil
(or there's always, let him roll, rotate over his head and get the triangle heh)
my omoplata entrys seem very high percentage, but my omo finishes are very low. as ive developed my own game and became more comfortable in the omoplata position my omo finish is still very low, but I love the position because transitioning to back, mount or triangle are all available depending on your partners reaction. now i just need to work on the actual omo finish....

This used to happen to me as a white belt. I learned that it's a fundamental part of the technique to control the guys body with your free arm as you sit up to prevent his roll.
