That's how I sum up Marcelo Garcia in one word. I love watching how effortless he makes everything seem. Great vid. I just hope people don't watch and criticize Ben Askren because that wouldn't be fair.

Yeah, it's hard to say if Askren is good or bad from watching that. He's obviously unfamiliar with many submissions, but you can tell he has great body awareness. His wrestling style was very fun to watch.

Totally. this is not a knock on Ben but Marcelo wasnt even trying. Like a I said not a knock on Ben, just shows how great Marcelo is!

I wish more people rolled like marcello. Way to many people think every roll is for a world title and go 110% every second. i think i learn the most, as far as during live rolling goes, when going slow and relying on technique.
Id kill for squeezing power like his. lol

^^^^ Arm drag to back control. He used the guillotine to sweep him a bunch of times, too....maybe could do it off the front headlock. Guys like Jacare and Aoki would do just as well wrestling due to their extensive Judo work, but it's hard to say for Marcello. He's so tiny, too.

Not sure what would happen if they Wrestled but I just saw what happens in Submission Grappling. MMA might be a different story as Askren has had success while Marcelo did not.

As I think about it, if they wrestled Marcello would have destroyed him. Askren cannot keep Garcia on his back, he sweeps nonstop. When Marcello wants to put Askren on his back or get the leg ride he just does it. Garcia is a little piece of bjj art.
