Which one of these books do you guys like better?

I don't own either, but I've looked through both. At first glance, I like them both equally. Maybe the Ed Beneville one a little more because of the drills at the end.

If you get the chance, check out the book that Ed Beneville co wrote with Tim Cartmell called "Passing the guard" it's really good!

Both very good books.....as far as detailed pictures and breakdowns of technique, I would go for Benneville. As far as an overall understanding of the general principles, go with the Essential Guard.
