If the UFC is a monopoly then so is the NFL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, PGA, NCAA and so on...

I could agree with that.

I don't remember much of my wins, but I remember every second of every single loss in brutal slow motion .

They're an oligopoly not an monopoly because there are other organizations that provide this service.

That Dwayne is so smart...

An oligopoly is a market form in which a market or industry is dominated by a small number of sellers (oligopolists). The word is derived, by analogy with "monopoly", from the Greek ὀλίγοι (oligoi) "few" + πόλειν (pólein) "to sell". Because there are few sellers, each oligopolist is likely to be aware of the actions of the others. The decisions of one firm influence, and are influenced by, the decisions of other firms. Strategic planning by oligopolists needs to take into account the likely responses of the other market participants.

But because the other sport 'monopolies' all have players' unions, the power of the leagues is somewhat limited.

Right leg hospital-Left leg cemetary.

One day the UFC fighters will unionize when they realize how much money the promotion makes there is no way that they give around 50 of the revenue to the fighters.Truth is as soon as one fighter speaks up he'll be fired and there will be 5 more willing to take his place. It would take every champion from every weight class to speak up before some action would be taken but there are too many "company" men to make it happen. They don't see the UFC is really attempting to control every aspect of MMA. I mean they are putting up UFC training gym's how do you think greg jackson would feel if they open up one in NM next to Jackson's MMA and they take all of his students? He would be forced to fill out an application to work for the UFC gym . Until there is legit competition for the promotion nothing will happen.

i know you didnt see that one coming but it wouldnt have mattered cause your chin was high and your hands down away!
