Ginastica natural for fighters
holy crap that stuff is awesome.
I just go the ginastica natural dvd and it is really really cool. I am extremely non-flexible and its something that has always hindered me but all this stuff is based on bjj movements and how to stretch within the movements.
any else do it?
tren
we use it almost every class for warm ups...
1 min of hindu pushups to a sit out each side
1 min of side leg swings
1 min of bridge/shrimp to the knees
1 min 8 count jumping jacks
1 min lizard crawls w/ rolls included on call
repeat 2x and usually include 50 squats or lunges
how much is the DVD. Ive been really intrested in this?

See, I was thinking more along the lines of...
LFML :).

It kinda looks like contemporary dance :) Looks fun though
Judging from the vid Chaz posted, I'd say the Galvao camp is spiking the Gatorade...ya know what I mean?
I think ive seen vids of Saulo and Ande Iberio doing this.
Sorry but I don't think that would do you much good in a street fight.
j/k
Where do they sell an instructional for it?
That level of conditioning is on par to Parkour. Very impressive stuff...
Did 'em when I was a young'en as part of my trainings. yea it really helps in regards to flexibility etc esp at a later age.
Makes one supple ( yea a little like the the pic in Dave's post ).
Sorry but I don't think that would do you much good in a street fight.Neither does weight / endurance training or pulling guard for that matter. You dont train to go 3 rounds in the street. It is Jits sport specific training routine using body weight strength, of joint mobility, and grappling position transitioning training. Ive blended some of this with sets of military, KB swings for a nice conditioning workout.

I know, that's why I said I was joking.
I actually started using some of these exercises during off days. It's really helpful for wanting to exercise in a manner that won't endanger my children as they run around me in circles.
I need to grab the DVD and put a routine together.
this is all the stuff we incorporate into our daily jiu-jitsu warmups and workouts. i didn't even kno it was ginastica until now... it's just what we've always done. i'll likely get the videos so i can learn some new stuff. what i like about it is it incorporates basic jiu-jitsu movements and positions. it is also a good work out and stretches. one thing i'd like to get from the videos is better breathing techniques.

I've done a little bit. They had a few exercises in Gracie Mag a while back. I've never done a full routine though. We do some of the movements in our warm ups I like what I've done just haven't gotten around to researching it further.
What does you basic routine look like so far?
11th dan in Parnes Jiu-Jitsu, it's one more than Ransom's. Real PJJ goes to 11!
