Got Vertigo, now feel really light headed all the time.
I went to the doctor after suddenly getting vertigo and throwing up every where. After being given some Antivert and some stomach cures I felt fine, except for one thing. I feel severly 'light headed' like there is a pressure on my head all the time.
They gave me a CT, so no problems inside my head.
Any ideas how to stop the lightheaded ness? I can't even train, barely can even go on the computer.
Strange that you posted this, just last week I was on the computer and suddenly felt like I had been spinning around, or took 5 shots of whiskey. I got really scared and thought going to sleep would help but it didn't. I went though a lot of anxiety thinking it may never go away but it slowly did. Now I have a bit of light-headedness but that's slowly healing too. My vertigo was caused by watching a trippy movie on my iphone in the dark. For some reason flashing lights in the dark messes up my brain. Happened once before after playing Mario 64 in the dark. Best wishes on your healing. It's easy to take 'normal' for granted until it's gone.
I get what you're describing at night with flashing lights, like at a fair or carnival. I've always had that. I've learned to live it. Unfortunately, I think I passed this onto my son, he's the same way.
I hope yours is just temporary and over soon.
Wow, I had the exact same thing happen to me. If you are infact still feeling dizzy, Dr. Sick is correct in that you probably shook up crystals in your ear. A good percentage of dizziness is attributed to inner ear issues. Now, if you are feeling light headed, (like I was) that is a different story. I was really scared because I knew somthing was wrong with my body, but doctors had a hard time trying to figure this out. I have had blood work, MRI's, CT scans, Eyes checked, in addition, saw a neurologist and endocrinologist. A couple of things you might consider are: a migraine, eye issues, get your blood work done so that they can rule out thyroid issues. Also, anxiety could be a big factor. This was the case for me. They gave me Alprazalam to take on a "as needed basis", and this helped a ton. I had these symptoms for 4 months. Good luck.

Look up BPPV -- Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. I have had it once. I shot up from bed and turned suddenly to check the time on my clock. Then the room started spinning and didn't stop... for about 2 days. Yes plenty of puke and belly aching.
A very close friend of mine has had it twice.
There is a series of exercises you can do to help things. Look them up on the internet. If this is in fact what you've got, you've shaken up the crystals in your inner ear and the exercises help to re set them where they won't mess up your equilibrium.
Best of luck to you man. BPPV is no joke.
