I currently own some Brute Headgear. I am not happy with it at all. My doctor told me that I should really protect my ears from a bad accident a few years back. Do any of you recommend any headgear?

I bought some from sports authority with velcro strap adjustments and gel inside earpieces. They're a little more expensive than others but worth it IMO.

For sparring or for grappling? I can't wear headgear when I spar. Apparently I have a little dome and the gear twists around a lot so that I can't see. I need to take steroids to grow my skull....I'm on it.

I still use and like the old fashioned foam headgear. I think it's made by Cliff Keen
