OH ****, that guy is Jason Chambers! He is Eddie Bravo's top MMA competitor out of Legend's MMA, is either a brown or black belt (haven't heard about him in awhile) in BJJ under Eddie, and has multiple wins in MMA using moves from the rubber guard and utilizing the twister.
I am actually excited for this... Chambers is a pretty legit fighter and is really personable.
very kool! thanks for the heads up.
They just did one on muay thai, and it was really informative and interesting. They def do the martial art justice. Jason got his ass whomped on by the thai champ tho. that was fun to watch.
Not only did he get annihilated, the thai fighter was playing with him, and it was completely obvious that Jason would have been destroyed much faster if the thai fighter wanted to.
My only complaint with the show is the amount of fake dialogue that they try to cram in and the "fight a champion at the end of every episode" is kind of strange. It seems so forced.
Still, the show is basically the only martial arts show on television. So, I'll be watching it consistently, and the overall quality is acceptable.
I thought it was informative and i cant wait till the Escrima episode.
Word
It's a shame I don't have the History Channel here. When I watched this show (while vacationing down in NYC), I liked the quality of the show much better than the last martial arts series of a similar nature -- that being Deadly Arts.
At least these two don't go as far as trying to learn all the "advance techniques" like the host does in Deadly Arts, or try to put a "female-in-martial-arts" spin in every program.
does anyone know if someone has already posted it on the web yet?
i think I saw a few episodes of it floating around in .Torrent format last night. Check those out? Youtube's probably a second shot then.
Regardless, anyone see the Krav Magna (Sp?) one? I haven't gotten my dojo's copy of it yet. Do they get pwn'd?

The Krav Maga one was pretty sweet IMO. Jason does a pretty good job in the little 'test' at the end. He basically gets to fight off randomly entering opponents who have different weapons, and he gets to use all the skills he's ever learned, I enjoyed it. Kinda like seeing MMA in action.
i love this show it was great, to bad its not still on. you can get any episode on youtube by searching "human weapon 'martial art'" and they usually come in 5 parts.

It would be cool if the pro fighter could fight under MMA rules instead of only the rules of the discipline being studied, but I highly doubt they'll do that lol. Looks interesting, I'll definitely check it out.
