ideas for first tattoo?
im looking for something interesting? (something tribal) but I don't know if I should get that or something diffrent
you gotta have something that means alot to you.

Man, you're gonna get grounded for SO long!
well i don't have any tattoos but i can give u this piece of advise....don't get a gigantic "sword" thing in the middle of your chest.

But how will people know if you're tough without that tattoo?
I'd go for something that means a lot to you and will still mean a lot to you 20 years down the road :D.
My piece of advice would be if you don't already know what you want, don't get a tat. Wait for something to inspire you to put it on your body forever.

Ditto man. I've thought about getting a tat probably for 15 years. I just got one recently and I'm very happy with it. As I look back I could easily have a tribal around my bicep, a panther on my back, a Miami Dolphins logo on my shoulder. All of which I'm sure would probably not make me to happy with my decision at this point.
well i know what im getting, im getting a greek saying in traditional greek on my collar
what saying? If you don't minde to share it.
pretty sweet.
but as far as first tattoo goes, i agree with firecat, get something that represents you best now and in 15 years.
Or you can go in the total opposite direction and get the lucky charms guy, and then follow up with a full mural of characters from kid's cereal, like the Trix rabbit or Fruit Loops cockatoo. Actually you know what, I dare you to, i DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU. hahaha :D
make sure it's something that has meaning.
i got into this conversation on another website and was shot down by fools who were not even tattoo'd that they don't have to have meaning - at the very least some significance to you. But really, this thing is going to be on you forever. So make sure it's good.
as for the tribal - you should do some research - the designs do have meaning. the worst is when guys get tribal just cause it looks cool or they saw Goldberg's tribal shoulder tattoo a few years back.
and don't get a tramp stamp, a belly button tattoo, or an arm band...try being original.
hope you have a good experience - and also do research on the tattoo artist.

+100
This is the best advice. Even a design should have meaning.

Well said, I agree totally.
I have a tribal sleeve, BUT I got mine only after I accomplished something I set out to do. Most tribal men arent tattooed until they complete some sort of ritualistic journey, feat, or go to combat. I got my sleeve after I came back from Iraq, it doesnt have much meaning as far as traditional tribal (I designed it myself) but its the timing and reasoning for which I got it.

cool and really it does not have to be some big sob TLC story to get on to hollywood ink
it can just be to commorate something in your life - for example. My sisters and I are all getting a tattoo to celebrate the fact I'm quitting my job and getting rid of everything and moving to Brazil to do nothing but Train for 5 months.
nothing big or will change the world but something that means something to me.
good luck
I'm in the design process of my first two--Two only because they sort of stacked on top of each other in timing.
Both designs I've been working on for several years and are pretty much the cap of my college and training right now.
dude. get "jiu jitsu" across your shoulder blades.
