If you could only get one tattoo.....
what would you get, where and why?
I would get a Celtic cross, because it symbolizes some important things to me-
1)My Catholic faith, and everything it teaches about truth, justice, kindness, etc
2)My heritage- Irish music/culture, the awesome myths and legends of Ireland
3)Willingness to persevere for what I believe in- Just as Christ suffered and died on the cross for us, so I can take that strength and humility and apply it to every other part of my life, whether it's school, training/fighting or work.
And I would probably get it.... either on my forearm, so it's always staring at me (and anyone else)... or maybe on my shoulder blade/below my neck. Not really sure about the location.

Workin on it now.......A conch shell on the inside of my bicep. My father got one tattooed on his arm right before he died a few months ago. It also represents my Bahamian Heritage. I just need to figure out what im gonna put with it.
I don't have any tattoo's but I've been thinking about one for a while now.
Where - I want to do is get it right in the middle of my upper back.
What - It would be a guy with an old school warrior similar to Raiden or this dude from the iron chin. Maybe change him up a little, add some eyes. (no swords and no words, just the head)
Why - Sort of an inner warrior type of thing. My battle face? I've always felt like I'm a different person when I compete, whether it was football, wrestling or now mma. Even at corporate softball, step on the field and my inner warrior takes charge. So this would be something to rep my inner fighting personality.
If I like the way everything turns out and decide I like tattoo'ing like most people do I can add some clouds and lightening across my shoulders above my warrior.
Maybe cheesy but I like it.
Im getting a samurai war mask that is all beaten and banged up, as if its already been through war. It will represent all those who fell in combat when I was in Iraq, especially a friend of mine who went out fighting in an ambush. This will be on the front of my left shin and it will be the start of a sleeve from my knee to my ankle.

SOMETHING TO do with my family
actually my sisters and I are going to get one before I quit my job and take off to either do my masters' or Train in Brazil for 6 months.
I am to chicken to get a tattoo :oops: . But if I had to it would be the names of my kids or something that has to do with them.
i have a "phoenix" on my chest... stupid when i was younger...its well done but its just blue... maybe ill "set it on fire" when i feel reborn :lol:

I used to say if I ever made an Olympic Judo team I'd get the kanji for Shimewaza (Choke) on the tricep of my right arm and Kansetsuwaza (joint lock) on my left.
Seeing is how I don't do tournaments anymore... doubt I'll ever get these.

my brother drew a tatoo he wanted to get but never had the money for. it was a skull with horns and a naked woman on each horn. half of the skull still had flesh on it the other half didn't. it was suppost to go all the way across his back he died before he got it done. i still play to get it and have it tied into the roses for my mom and the toys and teddy bears for my other brother, so it would be kind of like armor. there always there to help and protect me.
