IPhone Apps same as actual DVD?

This may be a dumb question but are those apps for the iPhone the full DVD? Like for Roy deans DVD in the AppStore "nogi essentials," it's cheaper than buying the DVD full price. I understand it's cheaper because some people don't wanna watch it on their iPhones but since I do, I think I might buy, if it's the full thing. Does anyone know if the app has everything on the regular DVD. Thanks guys
