I posted a link to this a long time ago when I first came here.. I think it deserves posting again.. not only for any newbies or folks who've never seen it..but as a reminder to the absolute wealth of wisdom that Karl Gotch was/is.. not just combative lessons.. but life lessons.. Karl is (imo) THE MAN.

Blunt, honest, never worried about being politically correct about anything.. its just the way it was according to Karl..

Its worth watching the whole thing.. not only to hear real catch history.. but to connect with someone who truly innovated..

i only dream of training with people like karl. just imagine the stuff you can learn,and the question you can ask. just like when you were a kid asking so many questions.

I should add that whether it was guys that Karl went to train abroad.. or whether he was hosting them at his home in Florida.. Karl Gotch NEVER charged anyone a cent to learn from him or workout with him. The Japanese promotions would pay his way and such.. but later on.. they'd actually send guys to his home and he and his wife would cook for and feed these guys and Karl would run them through the meat grinder everyday... but never took a dime to train anyone.
