^^ haha. Thanks for the post. Love the voice, he cracks me up. Mayhem is looking much bigger, these days. He looks like he actually has to cut to make MW, as opposed to being a WW coming up.

Nick is not beating Mayhem. There is no way. The styles don't match up well for Diaz.

It could go either way, I think diaz is the better fighter slightly, but it would be far from a landslide. It would be a grappling war.

I think Mayhem is just a stronger guy at this point, and Diaz has been using his chin as his defense for too long already. That will not work for him much longer, he's already gotten rocked my Zaromskis and a couple other guys for doing that. I think Mayhem can rock him and then slap on a submission.
It would still be a sweet fight, and I agree with Miller's assertion that the thug mentality is just ridiculous.

I hope this happens- I've been wanting to see this fight for years. I'm pretty sure Diaz will kick his ass though- especially if it happens at 170. Mayhem's stand up is pretty good, but I still think Nick will just pick him apart on the feet.

Mayhem hasn't impressed me in his last few fights. He seems better than he is cause he talks some good trash.

mayhem needs to improve his striking. It's not crap, but it's not elite either. I remember when florian improved a lot when he started training muay thai because if I remember right, he was a BJJ black belt with weak striking.
Most of millers fights end in decision and submissions. Five knockout in 30 fights is not bad, but he could be phenomenal with more striking training.

He has 6 KOs 13 Subs and 4 decisions. He's training his boxing at Justin Fortune's so I don't think it"s a problem for him. He's been TKO'd once in 2006, never been knocked out, and hasn't tapped since 2002. His losses are to generally from being layed on... GSP, Chael Sonnen, Jacare, Shields.

Jacare didn't lie on him, though. That was an amazing fight. GSP kicked his head in, but that was when Mayhem was young, tiny and dumber. Man, that Jacare fight was the shiite.

Yeah, Jacare/Miller 1 was a great match, I'm just saying Miller goes to the judges because he's so damn hard to finish. Jacare tried everything and controlled the pace but Mayhem had an escape and a sweep for everything Jacare threw at him.

Agreed. I think the GSP fight is just irrelevant now, it was 5 years and lots of skill and experience ago. The Shields fight was a close decision, and Sonnen is a miserable wet blanket. I was so sad when the Jacare v Mayhem II fight ended in a NC.

I'd say the Shields fight was an unexciting decision, but it wasn't really close. And didn't he get TKO'd by Frank Trigg?
I don't know- I think he's one of the best fighters around, but his only real advantage against Diaz would probably be size.

Yeah, Trigg soccer kicked him to deaf in Icon. You didn't think that 1st fight with Jacare was good?? I'm gonna go re-watch it.
