Mayhem vs Sakuraba

Two top-20 featherweights, a middleweight icon and an MTV host have made their way onto the next Dream card.

Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Joe Warren vs. Michihiro Omigawa and Gegard Mousasi vs. Tatsyua Mizuno will be part of the Dream 16 show on Sept. 25 in Nagoya, Japan, U.S. broadcaster HDNet announced Friday.

Sakuraba-Miller matches up two quarterfinalists from the Dream 2008 Middleweight Grand Prix. Both men are skilled grapplers, but Sakuraba uses a pro wrestler's approach that has him taking more chances to go for submissions, while Miller might be the better all-around fighter.

At age 29, Miller also has the advantage of youth and dynamism. While Miller remains in relatively good shape, the 41-year-old Sakuraba has absorbed more than his fair share of punishment over the course of his legendary career and has looked slower in his last several bouts.

Miller, host of MTV's Bully Beatdown, has been angling for a grudge match with Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz, but the promotion decided to have Diaz defend his title belt against K.J. Noons in October.

Warren, who is already slated to face Joe Soto next week at Bellator 27, earlier this week said he expected to face Omigawa at the Dream show. Omigawa and Warren are Nos. 8 and 18 in the USA TODAY/SB Nation consensus rankings.

Mousasi-Mizuno was previously mentioned by Dream event producer Keiichi Sasahara during a recent interview with a Japanese TV station.
