mma gym in baghdad

just wanted to share our project with the forum. it took about two months to turn a rat infested tent into a decent mma gym, but i think it turned out ok.

we have
6 bags (4 heavy, 1 banana, 1 wrecking ball/body snatcher)
36x30 grappling area w/ padded walls
full sets of gloves, shields, pads, headgear, etc
kettles
tv/dvd and stereo system.

enjoy the photos. please don't mock the color scheme, we had to scrounge for equipment so we took what we could get.

No mocking here man it looks like a nice gym and better then a lot of places I have worked out.

Also a G60 is one of my favorite cars of all time!!!!

thanks for all the positive comments. we had a lot of roadblocks along the way and sometimes i thought it wouldn't happen.

i am a fan of the corrado as well. my two babies:

A true testament to the ingenuity and the ability to make anything possible.

Since those Seals are getting hammered for roughing up that HVT I guess it's better you men hit those bags instead of the dirtbag trying to blow you up.

When I was in Korea we did something similar with three CASS crates (USMC). Yet your gym blows ours out of the water. Damn good job!

Good job man! I know this is late, but whatever...

I actually started a short lived (and by that I mean I heard all momentum died when I rotated out) BJJ/Krav Maga/Combatives training facility at Sather back in '06 - '08... but like most things in BIAP, If you're not there to oversee it, it's gonna disapear... Hope your gym is still there man!
