Nate Diaz sets New CompuStrike record for strikes!
Nate Diaz put on quite possibly the best performance of his career last night at UFC 141, defeating Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision after three rounds thanks to relentless, laser-like striking, accurate enough to set a CompuStrike record for a three round mixed martial arts fight.
Diaz landed an astounding 82 percent of his strikes, connecting on 258 out of 314 punches. After plenty of pre-fight trash talk from both competitors, the fight, unsurprisingly, never hit the ground.
By contrast, Cerrone -- who is one of the better strikers in the UFC lightweight division and who possesses a kickboxing record of 28-0-1 -- only landed 33 percent of his strikes as he landed only 66 out of 200 attempted strikes.
Haters gon' hate! 209!
When Tebow does great it's Gods will. When the Diaz brothers win it's a pact with the devil.
@Bruce. Exactly!
Thats was a very frustrating fight Cerrone had option but he was so cought up in the drama of the stand-up prefight trash talk and poor game plan... that he never brought the fight to the ground... Yes Diaz (myfamily) won, broke records but dame cerrone didnt think while fighting!
My guess it that since Cerrone was taking Diaz down with trips instead of my rocking him with punches he just didn't want any of Diaz's guard. I'll admit I'm not too up on Cerrone's career and the credentials of the other people he's fought, though.
what i like most about the diaz boys (besides being very talented fighters), is that they have not changed despite their careers. Regardless of where they are in life, they will always be 2 kids from the streets of stockton (thugs). not the best role models, but great fighters.
Love to watch them fight but I hate to hear them talk LOL! Just put on your gang colors and make it official already, I mean they're experts in thug-phonics sign language already.

FREESTYLE AMERICAN SHOOT TEAM Thanks to eagles for the sig!

It's so frustrating being a Diaz brothers hater. I think these two @ss clowns made a pact with the devil. There is just no other logical explanation.
