New guy - can't see vids
Hello, great site! Lot's of good discussion and resources here.
BUT - I can't see the vids in the Techniques Video Links Forum.
Is there a trick?
I'm not on a work pc, no filters, Flash player is updated, no problems with vids on any other site. What gives?
Thanks!
I can see the videos. They're just embedded YouTube vids.
Is your java script up to date? Flash?
I'm not sure what the problem could be. What browser are you using?
Thanks eagles.I can see the vid in the post you linked.
I cannot see the vid in the sticky posts at the top of the Techniques Video Links discussion forum.
Example: I cannot see vids in any of these threads:
http://www.lockflow.com/viewtopic.php?t=7005
http://www.lockflow.com/viewtopic.php?t=6983
http://www.lockflow.com/viewtopic.php?t=6985
Are the stickies so old that the vids links are dead?
Thanks.
I can see them as well. Sounds like one of the problems Marshal said. Make sure all your stuff is up to date, and I know that firefox, inernet explorer, and google chrome all work for web browsers. If you're using a different one that could be the reason. If its not that, all I can think of is your internet connection isnt good. When I had a bad IE connection, and when I was using a super old modem/router, videos would never work right. If it still doesn't work, I;m not sure. If anything you will just have to ask people to post the actual link to the youtube video.
But I do have 2 questions
1) What shows up where the video should be?
2) Can you view videos on youtube.com?
In the mean time, I posted the links for you to the actual videos below, so if your youtube does work, you will be able to view them from the source. Just click the link

definatly sounds like you are missing a plugin or have something switched funny on your browser. But sometimes it will just load funny with the embeded code displayed. In this scenario you can always just copy the url out of it and paste it in the address bar.

Well, in the technique database they dont have to have a vid. http://lockflow.com/article_view.php?id=4735 Try that one, it definitely has a video. If that doesn't work I'm not sure, but someone else will probably know. The only other thing I can think of is just a problem with your own work computer, but you said it has no filters, so not sure.
But, I bet someone will have an answer :) There's a few computer whizzes on the site that can hopefully solve your problem.
