Wow, that brings back memories!

When I was 15,16 and 17 I competed in the Junior olympics for TKD.
U.S.T.U style of fighting, it was so much fun and that video just
reminded me of fun it was :)

I watched the rewind, but I don't understand the scoring. It looks like there a kicks that hit the scoring area that arn't being counted. Is there some explanation?

its weird.

first off you have to hit really hard to score. they refer to it as "trembling shock." and if you want to score with a punch you have to damn near knock them down.

second, a lot of the shots that look like they score hit the arms as well, and they have to hit just the hogu and not the arms. its easier to see in the instant replays when things hit the arms.

and third, the olympic judges are whack.
