Anyone have these? They look like the thin mats that are typically in weightlifting rooms and not suitable for grappling but i've read some good reviews. Wondering if anyone has them or has rolled on them.

I currently have part of my room as an actual wrestling mat (like in HS) and about 1/2 in the dolimar flexroll mats. Of course the wrestling mat is the most comfortable to roll on but it's also twice the money. I have some of the thin wieghtlifting type mats that are just kind of around where we grapple and under some of my weights n' things. I couldn't really imagine rolling on those.

I've rolled on zebra style mats as well.

We put two layers of the weight lifting mat down works for us but we do roll the much and when we do it is always from the knees.

But they look like the 4 for 20 mats you can buy at walmart. Thats what we have but like I said in our mma room we have two layers.

The get rung mats look like the ones we have at my gym. They're comfortable to roll on but you end up getting mat burns something awful. I still have blisters on my foot from drilling double leg takedowns. Speaking of takedowns, they arent exactly impact absorbing. As a judo player my Uke(Drunk tend to get the wind knocked out of them. The Dollarmur mats are awesome in my personal opinion.

i bought these same mats a while back... they were affordable.

but, i don't think these would be a good substitute for mats that you would find at an MMA or wrestling gym. They are perfect for placing in a garage etc etc if you wanna start on your knees and do some light rolling.

Just the facts maam.

IMO, I never trust websites that look like they were made in the 90's.

the getrung one's look like the standard gym mats in any mma school I've been too. Rough for take downs. But I bet if you put some of that carpet foam under it, it'd absorb some of that impact.

Get more Dollamur flexroll mats if anything. SOOO much nicer than realjitsu mats, I have both and demoted my realjitsu mats to the weightlifting room when I got the dollamurs. The realjitsu mats suck in my opinion, suck to clean, suck to move, suck when it comes to mat burns.. This is all in comparison to the dollamurs, which are greeeeat on all of those! Smile

Thanks guys, that's about what I was thinking but I thought I'd ask. Gotta at least look at a good savings like that. I will probably try to match the dolimar I already have.

The dollar flex roll are the ones I am going to buy for my living room. I have some thick puzzle mats, they are okay, but I want to upgrade.

I pray, do yoga, meditate and still want to smack people
