How tough are they? Don't want to spend money just to see them rip in 2 uses. Please post your review!
IMO, it is waste of hard earned cash... what is the purpose for the use of these grapple socks? is it to replace wrestling shoes? do you need more ankle support? do you have slippery feet? i dont get it yet... but if you do purchase them, please post a review because they seem like a good concept.

All of the above. While they are a little pricey for me I like the concept. Since most MMA promotions do not allow wrestling shoes anymore this is a great way to gain traction and support without wrestling shoes. I have thought of purchasing a pair for competition use only so they will last longer.
Hm, thermal socks and some spray on rubber coating...
I can't be the only one right?
here's another one...

That velcro strap on top doesnt look very skin friendly LOL. I get enough velcro burns from training gloves, imagine that strap sliding across your face while navigating someone's open guard or while dealing with some butterfly hooks on the inner thigh...OUCH!
I own a pair of FiveFingers (the KSOs), and I love them, but I gotta agree that the velcro is no good. I mean, unless you want to punish your training partners. If you really wanted to wear VFFs for grappling, then you could get the Mocs: http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/products/products_moc_m.cfm
VFFs for training are more of an way to keep the barefoot feel in a place that requires shoes, though. Like, if you wanted to go to a boxing gym, but just to improve your boxing for MMA. The heels on regular shoes make a big difference...
My first though was....what the f&%@?? Is this for people who roll out of bed and grapple in pajamas on cold floors? Then I read about protecting the top of my foot from that foul mat burn/lack of skin; and I thought: hey, I'd wear that. Then I remembered that I already wear these when I grapple, so it's not a big issue.

BulletEater that is some serious equipment. You must have forgiving sparring partners lol.

FREESTYLE AMERICAN SHOOT TEAM Thanks to eagles for the sig!

Well, I do not have the Hayabusa ones, but when you click the link above it actually shows te 4Q2 MMA sock, which I do own 2 pairs of.
I have had them about 3 months now, and wear them about twice a week each. One thing - read the instructions. I washed my first pair and threw them in the drier, which is a big no-no. It seemes to have eroded the bottom rubber a little on it. The second pair I got I just hang dry.
Other than that, I love them. They are like a neoprene dive boot kind of, with a grippy bottom. I use them for stand up and grappling. they work great . great grip, no mat burn on top of feet. No complaints at all. I will buy them again when they wear out.
I also have 2 pair of the Original Grapplesocks, and they are terrible. They have individual toes for each of your toes. The material is very thin, and the rubber grip is a little thin. The toes are always coming out of the toe holes and the socks get all messed up, sometimes turning on my foot and actually getting slippery. I would avoid these. Not going to buy them again. They do have a version 2 coming out which looks better, maybe they changed designs after bad reviews?
The Hayabusa ones that look like Thai ankle guards look pretty cool. But they are very expensive. I may try a pair one of these days.
The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement...
