While some are still wondering why Ronda Rousey (Pictured) was granted a shot at the Strikeforce bantamweight belt at such an early stage in her young career, the Gambling Gods believe she’s going to steamroll reigning champ Miesha Tate this Saturday and capture the crown.

Despite owning merely a 4-0 professional mixed martial arts record, Rousey is nearly a 4-to-1 odds-on favorite to snatch the hardware from Tate.

“Takedown,” on the other hand, checks in as a 2.5-to-1 longshot to retain her title.

The 135-pounders headline Saturday’s show inside Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Unfortunately for betters, no other lines for the card have been released.

I can see Ronda winning by 1st rd armbar... That said, I am hoping she wins via 1st rd armbar. I like Ronda a lot better and after reading how hard her mom pushed her, I can see she is champion material. Perhaps in the future Rickson by armbar will be replaced with Ronda by armbar, lol just kidding

This fight has serious implications for women's mma.  If rowdy wins quick, critics will be all over the lack of depth in the women's divisions.  If it is a close fight with back and forth action, then it will advance the division and will shine a light on the talent that women have.  I'm hoping that its a good fight.  Rooting for Ronda btw with last round submission.

Either Ronda by submission in an early round, hopefully by armbar, or it is going to be Meisha Tate by TKO in a later round.

Rooting for Ronda Rousey.

Very excited about this fight!  For once we're going to see high level grapplers grapple and not try to show off their recent stand- up work.  Anybody remember the Matt Hughes v. Renzo Gracie fight; it turned into an awful boxing match.

Would people really be surprised is Tate dominated Rousey? It just may be too much too soon for her. They make fights like this because they are looking to make a star and fill a zoid.I hope the fight is really good but if Rousey loses what will be next for her?

i know you didnt see that one coming but it wouldnt have mattered cause your chin was high and your hands down away!

I commend both Miesha and Ronda.  The grappling in their fight was awesome.  Probably the most technical grappling in an MMA fight all year.

I got what I wanted from Ronda, the good ole arm bar, but that was pretty nasty.  Anybody notice Tate's escape movement from the arm bar.  She practically burst her own elbow trying to force a turn.  Fight was better than all the previous fights on the card and the whole UFC event the night before.
