Simple Judo Combo Throws

Here are two great Judo combo throws that any grappler or mma guy could add to their game:
Osoto-Gari to Kosoto-Gari
Kouchi-Gari to Ouchi-Gari
Post some other throw combos, push-pull, feints, etc to setup a takedown.

Ha, ha, that video brings back some memories.
I want to see that technique added to the database. I can just see the pic by pic description:
1) On an exhausted, staggering partner, put your left hand over their right shoulder.
2) Act like you are going for a firemans' carry, but surprise your partner with a full on (what the hell would you say here - something like "Prostrate Press", or "Cup Check", "Jimmy Lifter", "Monkey steals the peaches")
3) Once elevated over your head, transition your left hand to their throat.
4) Pose for at least 5 seconds.
5) Walk forward and drop partner.

P.S. Have any instructors ever demo'ed this one and had students practice it. I can just image their faces after the instructor gave a demo and then said, "okay, grab a partner and let's go through this step by step".

Lol. Doesn't it look painful? The guy is getting throttled and having his oil checked at the same time, then gets dropped onto his face from seven feet up.
It would be hilarious to pull this prank on a class of white belts, though.

The fundamental idea behind these combos is good, but I don't like the way they're demoed in these videos.

buckcz thanx for starting this thread I needed this..I have a bjj tourny comin up in 2 weeks and my throws are pretty crappy. I am re-studying throws from judoinfo.com my favorite site on judo. these are two article's from the site on counter and comb throws. hope you guys like the site

I'm currently working on these back to front combos:
kouchi to uchimata
ouchi to taiotoshi
Combos I use often in randori:
osotogari to sesae truri komi ashi
ippon seoinage to kouchi makikomi
kosotogari to tani otoshi

I've found the most success with the uchimata when grappling no gi. But i do like that Osoto-Gari to Kosoto-Gari combination, very slick

it would be alot more interested for those of us no gi/ mma if these were judo throws demonstrated by no gi guys....... judo is way easier with a gi on

www.jud4mma.com is a good site for no-gi judo and the stuff on Karo Paryisan's dvd is good. Some complicated Judo stuff only works with gi, but your basic throw and trips work just fine no-gi you just use different handles.

My training partner and I have been working from Marc Verillotte's boxset and highly recommend it, very detailed and has improved our throwing techniques 100%.
