My wrist have been popping a little when I do palms down push ups; I tried knuckle push ups and my wrists didn't pop. Will knuckle push ups strengthen my wrists?

To strengthen your wrists, you can do a number of things like reverse curls, wrist curls, and bar rolling. Bar rolling is when you take a bar, or stick that is about a foot in length, then while standing holdin it at the top of your solar plexus, you take a rope (i use an old hockey lace), tying in the middle of the bar, and allowing about 6-8 inches of it to drape the ground, then take a weight plate, be it a 2.5, 5, or 10lbs one, and tie the the draped end to the plate to the point that the end of the roped plate can just barely rest on the floor, now roll the bar away from you until the plate touches the bar, then, in the same setting, unroll it away until the plate hits the floor, that is 1 set. If that movement, or the wrist curls themselves still result in a "pop", don't do em...instead, focus on 3 exercises:chin ups, pull ups, and dead lifts. These keep your wrists locked, as well as focus on strengthening your fingers, and completely work your forearms. If you can't do pulls or chins, don't worry, grab the bar, and jump up until your chin is above the bar, hold it as long as possible, if you can't do that, just grab the bar and hang from it for as long as possible, and repeat, you'll be doin reps in a month! If you don't have a bar available, find a tree, the bigger the "bar" the more emphasis the exercise will have on your grip strength and forearms...Goodluck!

You know what I hate about today?!? It's still happening.

Handstand hold against the wall will do wonders for the wrists. Also, forearm/hand strength workouts will help a ton too!!

when i was younger i never did any grip or gorearm exercises. i did alot of heavy barbell curls and skull crushers. they sure strenghtened my grip and wrist. it wasn't until couple years ago i started training grippers for grip. and some wrist curls.

give that a try first. won't hurt you, plus gain some bicep size. i am talking about heavy sets, good for curls though. sets of 3 reps. sets of 5. sets of on max reps. minimum of 6 sets.

You're already on the internet. There are plenty of websites you can visit that will help you strengthen your wrists.
