Tiny white head pimples on forearms....HELP NEED ADVICE
Hey all,
I got this issue with the inner part of my forearms, where There is a small multitude of tiny little white head pimples. Sometimes I pick at them and can actually pop out the whitehead, however the whitehead doesn´t look like your average pimple. The whitehead looks hard, or almost fungal looking. I bought some anti fungal cream which kinda seems to be working.
I hope I don´t have staph, because I don´t feel sick, but however I have noted that my immune system has been a just a tiny bit weaker. More allergies and stuff, like snezzeing constantly.
Anybody have any advice. I am gona go to a dermatologist, when I get my paycheck next week, but in the meantime is there anything I can do?
thanks everyody...
you've pretty much got it covered. use the cream, i use a spray whenever i get rashes or ringworm and that seems to work better than the creams for me but yeah. go to the dermatologist and find out what it is and they'll tell you how to treat it.
Hi.
I used to get something similar on my biceps. My doctor said that it was a fish oil deficiency, so since then ive taken a supplement called Omega - 3 , and all my little white lumps have gone !! :D
Obviously i cant say for sure that this is the cause of your problem, but until you can get to see a specialist, you could always try a supplement - it took about 3 weeks for mine to clear up.
Hope this helps.

hey cool, i started getting them on my biceps after i stopped taking my fish oils supplements. i'm back on them and i have noticed any white bumps.
i didn't have so many that i was concerned but enough i noticed. didn't know it could have been omega-3 solvable.
i got the same lil bumps, they don't hurt but i don't likr looking at them...let me know what the doc says...until then i'm getting me some fish oil.
ive got the same thing. heres what i think it is:

Ive started bathing with a loofa like women use and it is starting to help.
Keratosis is one definite possibility, the other would be molluscum, which is viral in origin. Most fungi don't form whiteheads. Molluscum is contagious, so until you know what is going on, keep covered if you grapple, or better yet protect your gym mates and go running, work on cardio.
what ever it is don't pop the whiteheads. This will only lead to them getting infected. If it isn't going away get it looked at. It could be something simple requiring nothing to be done, or you might need to be place on an antibiotic if it's staph. BUT DON"T PICK AT IT!!!!!!!!!!
BUT DON"T PICK AT IT!!!!!!!!!!
Just like mom always told ya :D

Ok have you been using Thai Pads lately? Or any type of forearm holding kick shield. If so the problem is the straps....you have to keep them regularly cleaned if not the oil and sweat builds up and causes the fungal white heads on the forearm...let me guess near the crease of the elbow??? I would suggest you clean all your equipment.
stop *&%%$# strange women.
what you have is most likely molluscum contageousum. I'm actually dealing with it myself started on my "forearm" just like you spread to my neck, face, legs, and stomach.

I've done cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen. I'm on my third treatment on monday. another way is to excise them yourself but i'd dry out the area with rubbing alcohol before and after so you pick up the waxy residue that spreads it to other places on you. A better treatment description is above.
Go to the doctor and see what s/he says. Everyone has had a "bump" and everyone has had it be something different. It could be acne or it could be staph or anything in between. Let us know how it turns out though...
stop *&%#@ strange women.
 ..............
that too..............
i had that a little bit on my triceps but they seem to pretty much be gone now. dont pick at them though, that'll probably get infected or somthing...

I had molluscum once, which I got from BJJ and it only took me one liquid nitrogen treatment to get rid of it but I didn't have white heads...it was more like pimples or warts that grew really big and fast that couldn't be popped(I tried for a few days before going to the docs). I got it all around the inside of my left bicep area and I was using antifungal cream at the time even every time I rolled. I've been blessed*knock wood* never getting ring worm but yeah, make sure equipment and mats are clean before you train and keep using that antifungal cream and everything before you train.
so what was it?
Sounds pretty gross, did you find out what it was?
It could also be folliculitus. Inflammation of the hair follicule. Try a warm compress twice a day for 15 minutes each time. Hydrocortisone. If you suspect that it is a fungal reaction try clortrimazole cream. If you can't find the one for the feet use the one that says vaginal. Its the same damn thing minus the injector of course. Back to the fungal thing. If you think its a fungus do not use any steroid based cream or your problem will get much worse. Your doctor may end up giving you a combination steroid/anti-fungal cream to boost the strength of the anti fungal. Hope that helps. It works on Marines and Corpsmen.
I suffered with the same problem before. I think the white is the puss and it really bothered me a lot before. You have to apply some acne remedies that could make the pimple dry so that it can heal faster.

hmmm...thatz interesting. maybe stay away, or at least out of the sun. thatz probably the only thing i can think of. but good idea going to go see the dermatologist like u said.
