Is it just me, or is the sport I love becoming a lil shady? Every fight up to the main event all i heard was "keep working, or I will stand it up...." then the main comes and Chael throws fake a__ jabs from the top and sits on it all 3 rounds.... Then Silva gets a takedown in the 4th, and immediately hears "keep working." I hate Silva, but at least give him a fair shot

Was that just a reaction from habits built from training? He should have just fought until he passed out. He was up 4-0!! ( I was rooting for Silva though) Anderson needs to work on getting up from the ground sheesh.

Dude that was just ridiculous. He was pummeling him for 23 minutes, but gets caught. I'm pretty angry. I love me some Sonnen trash talk. Not sure if Silva deserved it, but oh well, that's MMA.

That's what Sonnen gets for holding him down but not actually hurting him. I hate to say it, but he could stand to take a page out of Ortiz or Coleman's book and learn how to do some damage. Even when he was handling Okami and Marquardt for 15 minutes we couldn't put either of them away. Wrestlers of the Sonnen and Fitch cut might be able to neutralize a guy all day, but without dishing out some pain they always run a higher risk of getting caught.

We now know what happened to Big Nog's chin. He surgically donated it to Silva, his star pupil.
Silva will now carry the torch, taking a beating for 90% of a fight and then snatching a triangle or armbar out of nowhere. Zhoooo Zhitsooooo!

Everybody that was watching that fight with me was mortified and heartbroken until Anderson Filhoed/Babalued/Horned/Maiaed him.
That just saved me. Silva almost got put away a couple times, but has a granite chin. That was a pretty good ppv. I was confused by Dos Anjos continuing to fight with a broken jaw, that seems really stupid.

Sonnen kicks his @ss for 23 minutes and then gets caught.....what a bummer. Lindland screaming at him to keep fighting. How about "you're up 4-0 get him down and lay and pray and become the Champ". Silva got beat up maybe this will let him know he is definitely beatable.

how anyone can remain a silva fan after the maia fight is beyond me.
i admire him for sticking in there, but i'll always be rooting against him. hope the next guy can take him out.
and, for the love of all that is holy, someone please kidnap chael and just work on armbar and triangle defenses with him for his entire camp.

What a buzz kill fight. Props to Silva for hanging in there and finishing what Chael couldn't.

At least Sonnen kept his word. He was in Silva's grill from the first bell and never backed down. Im not a big fan of his style but I admire him for taking the fight to the champ. Whats even more impressive is that not only did he stand and trade with Anderson F****ING Silva but he knocked him down a few times and didnt get KO'd himself.
Yes I have to agree that Sonnen desprately needs a bjj defensive training camp LOL!

^^ yeah I thought that was illegal too. Seems like it should be as it could cause some serious damage to the other fighter.
I thought it was a great night of fights though. I couldnt believe Chael could not finish the fight, Anderson sure can take a hit........ I'd like to see a rematch.

We use palm strikes in our karate style less bone to break. But my palms are almost harder then my fist. Would they be allowed as well? could see some good plam strike gnp.

Bas used some vicious palm strikes in his old Pancrase fights. He used them pretty well against Randelman in their UFC title fight as well.
Definately wanna see the Sonnen vs Silva rematch.
