UFC PPV Buy amounts from UFC 33-100
from skinnywussy on the OG:
"I was looking around and nobody has compiled a list of all the UFC ppv buyrates, so I put this together. Almost all of these are estimates, but I tried to use the most reliable sources when possible - ie. Meltzer or directly from Zuffa. Anything between UFC 10 and UFC 32 is usually considered to be about ~25K buys since they were only on limited PPV carriers during that time. The early UFCs peaked with 260K buys with UFC 5 and went downhill from there.

You can't say the same about Rich Franklin. His fights look like they were consistently toward the lower end. Also UFC 92 wasn't just about Griffin vs. Evans, it had Noguiera vs. Mir for the title, and Rampage vs. Wanderlei. And I'll admit Griffin isn't all that great and is probably a good example of a gatekeeper, but Rashad is legit.
Yeah, Liddel and Tito sure were money makers for Dana. First time they hit a million was UFC 66 when they fought, and they didnt even come close to that number again until UFC 91! Crazy!

Love him or hate him but Lesnar is a money machine.
Anderson Silva events don't look that popular up until the Leites fight and he sure didn't sell himself too good in that fight.
I wonder what 100 to now look like?
Power is the game!

Ortiz sure can sell an event! Liddell was SO popular he drew like crazy, but Tito could sell a fight as awful as himself vs. Rashad. It's kind of sad that one of the highest grossing PPVs ever was Rashad vs Griffin. Talk about to middle of the road gatekeepers. Proof that the TUF fans really do help the sport. Proof might be a strong word....strong correlation?
