Anaconda Choke
Here, Lockflow.com member Jason demonstrates the "Anaconda Choke", made famous by PRIDE fighter Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira. Again this technique can be done Gi or no-gi. When you guys submit stuff with a gi in the pic's I'm gonna put them in the Gi section so that visitors will not get confused by the pictures.

Jason has caught his opponent in the sprawl or front headlock position
Jason dips his left shoulder and reaches his left arm under his opponent's neck (no arm in) and locks his left arm as high and deep as he can on his right arm ( as far past the bicep as possible)ason then walks his right hand up as high as possible on his opponet's left side.

(Opposite side view) Jason puts his head (left ear) onto his opponent's left side and "Rolls" under his opponent, forcing his opponent's body ontop of his.
After his Opponent has rolled over the top of him, Jason turns his body into his opponent's head, squeezes and flexes his arms and walks his chest and stomach into the back of his opponent's head as he walks his feet towards the legs of his victim.

Thanks!
lol they are twins and it messes me up
The guy who invented it is Miltinho Vieira, the lightweight from BTT, who trains with Minotauro, it is a variation of the regular triangle mixed with the famous jujigatame. It really works, with or without a GI.

Quick question is that advice to grab his thumb legal in mma considering small joint minipulation is ilegal?
In technique #1?
Question
So your opponent should be on their back and you should be on your side in the last stage of this? Usually we both end up on our side and my opponent ends up "walking" with me which denies the finish.
While working on this w/ a friend I had the same prob as axehind. I have pulled it off grappling though. (I'll keep working)
Right leg hospital-Left leg cemetary.
Interesting.
love it....
The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

used it last night
Dude, this is kickarse!
You're not drunk if you can lie on the ground without holding on.
I am most defonitely look for an oppertunity to do this next time my school does "feet to floor grappling" = ) Quick question though, is the grip kinda like a rnc but instead of securing the back of your partners head you are securing their shoulder/back?

Nice chock!!
"Come on, you sons of bitches! Do you want to live forever?"
shogun... yeah it is a figure four hold (like a RNC) and i dont secure it usually but i developed my squeeze for it
It's all a puzzle, isn't it, Joseph? Like a game of chess, perhaps. The pieces move, apparently aimlessly, but always towards one single objective: to kill the king. But who is the king in this game, Joseph? That is the question you must ask yourself.
Yea as far as securing it it really helps that you "dip" your shoulder nice and hard for the grip. Denis Kang shows a really good demonstration for the anaconda choke that improved my % with it.

One other variable:
Sometimes it is hard to initially reach far enough with your arm that is under the neck to be able to grab your own bicep. If you cannot grab your bicep,
- Go ahead and grasp your other hand making sure to have the hand that is under the neck palm down.
- Roll
- As you come around you should be able to slide your hand down your arm until you are able to grab your bicep.
This is also an excellent technique off the front headlock to set up a pin in wrestling or a choke(If you don't get caught
)
