Gi choke to triangle

Here is a nice set up for the triangle. I use the gi choke to set it up. Helping me is Adam Conway. In the video I will show the move, break it down and then show it again.

  • Insert hand
  • Insert your left hand into the left side of your opponents collar (across your body). Make sure you put your thumb in and not your fingers. Putting your thumb in puts the bladed part of your forearm against the neck.
  • opponent sits up
  • As your opponent postures up...
  • Pull down
  • Using your legs and hand in the collar pull your opponent back down. At the same time drop your left elbow to your opponents chest.
  • Lift your elbow up
  • After you drop your elbow to your opponents chest, raise your elbow up high under his chin. Note: this set up will still work if you cant get under the chin.
  • Choke
  • Now bring your right arm over your opponents head and grab your left sleeve. Pull your sleeve up while bringing your right elbow down.
  • opponent defends
  • Your opponent will now start to defend your choke by bringing his hands up to release the pressure on the neck (choke).
  • Open your legs
  • While your opponent in busy with your choke, open your guard up...
  • Jump over the arms
  • and jump over your opponents arms, locking up the shoulder...
  • Triangle
  • Once the shoulder is locked up you can now go ahead and apply your triangle! Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

天下無難事,只怕有心人

i never see a gi choce like that. I realy liked that way, and it's easy on the wrist if something is not going as planed.

hard sparring session is like a cold shower in a warm day. It feels good.

Very smart combo.

Awesome!
