Head & Arm Counter
Marcelo Alonso has been training for over 21 years with the Gracie Family. He was Carlson Gracie's main instructor from January 1989 to January 1997. During that seven year period of teaching at the Rio de Janeiro school in Brazil, Alonso coached over 200 Champions on all levels, from blue to black belts. He holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and also has reached the status of Professor of Jiu-Jitsu. Alonso also has a black belt in Judo. Arriving in Washington State in January 1997, he plans to train competitors with techniques previously unknown in the United States.

The student in the Blu Gi has the student in the Black Gi in the head anr arm position. Notice that black has his arms lock around the waist of blue and both of his legs are bent
Driving off he feet, Black bridges up and rolls his opponent up over his left shoulder at a angle so that he is not trying to roll his entire body weight
As the reversal is completed, black takes his left hand and places it over blue's head, shaving his face to look downward
black now places both hands against blue's face and steps over with his right leg, he is now ready to finish the arm lock
