Mount to Back Control
![]() |
Here is great transition from the mount to back control . In the video I'll show the move, then break it down, then show it one more time. Helping me out is LockFlows own Kevinlace.
-
Mount
-
Grab the sleeve
-
Pulling down the arm
-
Shift your body
-
Grab the tricep
-
Lift up
-
Place him on his side
-
Body triangle
Start of mounted. Note: mount up on the chest, no the stomach. Also you can place your feet on the hips so your opponent can't use his legs.
While mounted with your opponents arms up in front of you grab his right sleeve with your left hand.
Now pull his arm to the is opposite side and move your body so that your chest is behind his tricep.
As you move his arm shift your body to his backside and slip your arm under his head. Also start to turn your opponent onto his side.
Once he is on his side, grab his tricep with the arm that slid under the head. Pull is arm in tight completely turning him onto his side.
Instead of trying to turn your opponent over onto his stomach (which is difficult if his spreads out is base) rock him up (sit him up). As you sit up to your right he will sit up with you.
As you sit him up , keep the momentum going and place him on is other side...Now you've got his back.
Remember your leg that was over your opponent before your sat him up...that leg is now ready for you to lock on the body triangle with your back control.

Nice, I use a similar grip no gi for taking the back, another top contribution.
I realy liked this against bigger guys.
hard sparring session is like a cold shower in a warm day. It feels good.
