Steve is caught in the bottom side mount and Travis has the cross face position
To make space, Steve steps his legs out and slightly turns away from Travis as he pushes against Travis’ neck to get rid of the cross face.
He now pulls his hips completely away from Travis, pushes away with his arms and turns back in to face him.
Steve recovers the guard but is unable to get his right leg across to the full guard
He secures his leg across the waist of Travis, hooks his right arm inside and around Travis’ leg and controls Travis right arm with his left arm.
Steve now uses his left leg to throw Travis weight to the left and roll him over (Steve keeps his knee across Travis’ waist)
After the roll Steve is now on the top knee ride position
