Shoulder lock to armbar

Here is an armbar that I catch a lot of people in. In the video I'll show the move, then break it down, then show it one more time. Helping me out is LockFlows own Kevinlace.

  • Start in the guard
  • Start in the guard...
  • Over hook
  • Over hook your opponents right arm with your left arm.
  • Grab his gi
  • Now grab onto his gi lapel.
  • Hint
  • Hint: his goes for gi or no gi if your opponent can pull his arm out, simply shift to your side. This will make it MUCH harder to pull his arm out.
  • Push is arm in
  • Now with your right hand, push your opponents left arm into his side...
  • Jump over
  • Jump over is arm with your right leg...
  • Lock up the shoulder
  • Now, lock up his shoulder with one leg over (right leg) and one leg under (left leg).
  • Armbar
  • Now just lift your hips up for the armbar! Note: this armbar comes on fast, so lift your hips slowly.
