Here Travis shows how to take the back from the top turtle

  • Step 1
  • Steve has Travis in the top turtle position.
  • Step 2
  • Steve reaches both hands under Travis’ arms to grab his collars. He also places his left knee next to Travis’ left knee and starts to roll to his left.
  • Step 3
  • He rolls Travis on top of him.
  • Step 4
  • He then sits up and puts his hooks inside, securing the back mount.

Seems simple enough. Probably pretty effective against many passive grapplers. I think i'll give it a shot no-gi too. It's probably harder without the grips but you never know. They might not expect me to roll them over my knee like that.

I love that double lapel grip from the back. It offers great control with flexibility for transitions.

Here to add my support.
