Arm Bar from Kick Catch

Well I havent posted a technique for a few weeks for thought I just do a quick one! Been riddled with injuries just lately and not had much chance to film techniques.

Anyway this is a nice arm bar setup when your opp goes for the kick catch (or catch A as some people know it as) and try for the leg sweep.

This also works equally as good when your opponent goes for an ankle pick from the collar elbow clinch. I did try to film this but my camera wasnt working right.

Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

• 1 - Kick Catch

I switch step and throw a lead leg body kick to Parker, who catches my kick with an over hook grip, also known as 'catch A'
• 2 - Grab Head

From the kick catch, Parker grabs the back of my head with his free hand and pulls it to him, ready to set up the throw. I return the favor and grab the back of his head and also get a tight grip on his arm.
• 3 - Leg Sweep

From his grip, Parker steps in for the sweep. I could jump to the arm lock before he sweeps, but here he starts to sweep me first.
• 4 - Sit Down

As he goes for the sweep, I sit my butt down to the ground, always keeping a tight grip on his head and arm. I also start to turn a little to make the next part easier.
• 4 - Loop Leg

Now I swivel my hips to the side and loop my leg over Parkers head, making sure that my heels press down and my knees are together.
• 6 - Arm Bar Finish

From position 5 I 'flare' my heel on the leg over his head and extend my hips to roll him onto his back. You can also under hook the leg when you do this to help them along. Then finish with the regular arm bar.
