Armbar Counter to Triangle Counter

Here is a nice switch submission to go for once an opponent tries to slam you in attempt to break your triangle.

Brent is in my closed guard.
With my right hand, I force Brent's left arm into his neck.
I shoot my right leg over Brent's left shoulder as I lift my hips and lock my legs.
I begin to lock the triangle in...
Brent starts to stand up. I quickly underhook his left leg (always the side of the passed arm) with my right arm as I reach for his right arm with my left hand. I pull my upper torso towards my underhook.
I continue to pull myself to my underhook as I use my legs and hips to tilt Brent over his right shoulder, he is unable to post because I have secured his right arm.
I could try to finish the triangle, or in this case... throw my left leg over for the armbar.

I freaken' love this counter to counter. Actually had my students working this earlier in the week. Thanks for putting this up Chaz. A MUST KNOW option!!!
Thanks Sergio!
i love this transition
as you know
me likey fighty
I've practiced something very similar to this - except that you start with an armbar attempt on someone in your guard, the other guy pulls his arm out, you triangle him, and can either finish it there or switch back to the armbar. It's probably on here somewhere already.
"Retards" don't exist, and "handicaps" are for golf.
I love the underhooking the leg and rotating for a triangle stack defence. The armbar is just another option...love it!

This transition is awesome. I practiced it today and was able to pull it off when we went live. Great Move.
There's nothing wrong with being afraid as long as you don't fear control you.
