Armbar Using Legs against all fours

Here is a quick submission that you can try when your opponent is on all fours. The difference between the 'Turtle' position and the 'All Fours' position is a matter of space. When your opponent is on his knees and hands/elbows but leaves space between his body and limbs, he is in the all fours position.

  • Step 1
  • Eddie is on all fours and my left knee is deep into his right side with my left arm draped over his back.
  • Step 2
  • I reach my left hand under Eddie's left armpit and grab his left wrist
  • Step 3
  • I bait Eddie by moving my right leg closer to his head, I hope that he will grab my right leg
  • Step 4
  • Eddid grabs my right leg with his right hand
  • Step 5
  • I slide my left knee into Eddie's right armpit
  • Step 6
  • I keep my weight low as I swing my right leg backwards and drop my hips towards Eddie's elbow.
  • Step 7
  • I flex my right heel towards my rear as I lower my base and arch my hips towards Eddie's trapped elbow to finish the submission.

When I do this sub., I like to cross face or try to lapel chole if a gi is worn. Great novelty technique Chaz!

I also figure four my legs...sorry.

Fujiwara showed me this as a defence to the single-leg. Watching him pull this on Ishikawa, it didn't look like a novelty to me.
