Catch Wrestling Short Arm Scissors
Altough not as popular as they use to be,short arm scissors are very handy tools to work with. Great to gain a fall or hook, short arm scissors are an integral part of our curriculum here at Catch Wrestling Canada

My opponent shot in.I sprawl and under hook is left arm with my righ and grab behind his right elbow with my left
I pull his right elbow in...
and start to turn him over on his back
I quickly shoot my right leg over his left wrist
I grab my right instep with my hand and get a fall,or I could clamp my hands together, pull up and get a submission
option #2- After he shot in I spin around and go for a half nelson and near ankle pick
I turn him at a 45 degree angle over his right shoulder. At this point I quickly shoot my right leg over
As i bring my right knee to the ground,I quickly swing my left leg over his left wrist,I grab the front of my instep and get a fall or hook
option #3-As he shot in,I swing behind him , grab the crook of his left arm with my left hand and pull back
I slip my left hand in
I start walking around him all the while pushing him forward to his right shoulder to break his position
As he falls to his right side,I swing my left leg over his left wrist and shoulder,I grab my instep and gain a fall.I like to jam my shin in their face at this point for an added bonus

Some Great entries in there!
i like opt2
The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

COOL!!!!!
Yep, the SAS works well to finish someone fighting an armbar attempt too (for you BJJ guys). Nice job Kris!
Ps. Remember, catch-as-catch-can has pins. This is a punishing hold meant really to get the pin, not a hook so much...
nice!
I'm going to try these tomorrow - thanks Kris!
Very nice. Use option 3 all the time to turn into side control, scarf or even getting back, but never thought of throwing the leg over for the bicep cutter. Thanks for the add-on!
