This is a counter you can get when your opponent leaves his feet crossed near your hip. You can also get this if he figure fours your leg by pushing his top leg through making space for you to hook the foot. I kept my lock and grip loose for Toby, but keep it tight through out.I LOVE ANKLE LOCKS!!!!
Toby attacks my ankle attempting an achillies lock, yet makes the mistake of crossing his feet next to my hip.
I lift the top foot up to make room...
quickly shoot my hand straight down over the leg and under his other foot.
Get my grip set. Palm to palm is the method I use so I can use the knife of my right forearm (explained later), but grabbing the back of the fist or wrestlers grip is fine... whatever works for you.
I then roll to my right side...
I keep twisting my upperbody as I pull his left shin into his right calf while pushing the knife of my forearm into his right shin.
