Dennis Hallman's "Knee Re-Positon"

Dennis Hallman has had over 50 fights: his victories have been a plethora of submission holds. Triangles, Arm Bars, Front Chokes, and Rear Naked Chokes have left many of his opponents in awe of his grappling ability or simply sleeping on the mat. Dennis is one of the few men to hold a victory over current UFC champion Matt Hughes. Not only did Dennis defeat Matt Hughes by submission in 30 seconds, but he has done it twice! Lockflow.com caught up with "Superman" at an MMA Event, and he was gracious enough to offer our fans a series of submissions from what he calls the "Hopscotch" series. Dennis claims that he has won of few of his fights with this set up. Here in the final technique in this series.

Dennis Hallman's "Hopscotch" Series:
Hopscotch Triangle
Hopscotch Arm Pin
Hopscotch Arm Bar
Hopscotch RNC
Hopscotch Knee Reposition

  • Step 1
  • Dennis is in the mount position punching his stand-in opponent, Landon Showalter.
  • Step 2
  • Dennis puts both of his hands on Landon's chest, pushes backwards and hops to both feet. Dennis ends up by sitting on Landon.
  • Step 3
  • From the "Hopscotch" position, Dennis continues to punch Landon.
  • Step 4
  • Landon slides his right knee under Dennis's Left Leg in a effort to sweep him or go for a leg lock.
  • Step 5
  • Dennis shifts all his weight to his right knee, taking off any leverage that Landon may have had on Dennis's left leg. Dennis then pushes Landon's knee back behind his left thigh.
  • Final
  • Dennis takes back the mount position.

That's the complete set!

Awesome set it was!

Wonder if Superman is going to use any of the series against Trigg in a rematch?

I like this set. Simple moves that don't seem special at first glance (at least to my relatively unexperienced eyes), but when you stop to think about them they seem like they could solve a lot of problems.

And I really like the whole "Hopscotch" position idea. I'm not as quick on my feet as I'd like to be, so this helps eliminate a few steps in between going from your typical kneeling mount to spinning into some submission. Thanks for the set!

"I don't care if it's God's own Anti-Son-of-a-B*tch machine or a giant hula hoop, we are not going to let them have it. What we will let them have is a belly full of lead, and a pool of their own blood to drown in!" - Sergeant Johnson

i like the hopscotch idea for competition, but not for street fight..

The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

i have seen frank shamrock use this position in a seminar video. i have messed around with it before. it is a legitimate point of control, at least for a few seconds.
