Folding Arm/Bicep Lock

Sometimes, when applying the key lock, it is hard to get your opponents elbow down towards their hips. Try this tricky follow up next time your partner gives you the strongman block.

• Step 1

Lockflow.com model Kim has June in the key lock position.
• Step 2

Kim drives her left wrist bone deep into June's elbow by using a hitch-hiker tumb.
• Step 3

Kim pulls June's right arm towards June's own right shoulder making sure that her wrist bone is deep into June's elbow pit.
• Step 4

Kim starts to slide her right arm across June's right wrist, making sure that she keeps June's arm bent tightly.
• Step 5

Kim keeps sliding her right arm until her elbow touches the mat. Kim then drives her right elbow backwards, folding June's arm tightly.
• Step 6

Kim reaches her right arm under June's elbow. Kim then grips her own left tricep with her right hand. Kim starts to turn her left wrist horizontal (perpendicular), between June's forearm and bicep.
• Step 7

Kim grips her own right bicep with her left hand.
• Step 8

Kim drives all of her chest weight into the folded arms while squeezing and flexing her arms.
