Forced Triangle

Here is a easy and basic variation of the classic triangle choke.

  • Step 1
  • Here, I start in the closed guard with wrist control on Jason.
  • Step 2
  • With my right hand I force, or push, Jason's left hand to the side of his neck.
  • Step 3
  • I have opened my guard, shot my hips up and locked my legs around Jason's head and right arm.
  • Step 4
  • Here, I pull Jason's right arm across his neck to my right.
  • Step 5
  • Using my legs, I pull Jason down, trapping his arm across my stomach. Both hands go behind Jason's head to keep him from posturing up.
  • Step 6
  • I place my left foot on Jason's right hip, pivoting my body to the right as I bring my right foot up towards Jason's head.
  • Step 7
  • Using my left hand, I grab my right shin and pull it over the back of Jason's neck.
  • Step 8
  • I throw my left knee over my right foot. To finish I raise my hips, squeeze my knees together, and pull down on Jason's head.
