Nice!

Is this the same as the Japanease Double Leg. If so Don't try it unless the other person knows how to break fall. If they don't they may hit shoulders first then head. Imagine if Tito Ortiz perfected this!

"Tap snap or nap." -The submission fighters moddo and threat, but most of all its our way of life.

This is probably my least favorite takedown to have done to me. You almost always hit the mat hard and the headbutt to the gut doesn't help that either!

not too big on falling into his guard :/

I had Surplus do this to me....... bam... straight to the mat!!

it's either the headbut to the stomach or the slam to the mat, or both. oouch

You would if you are going against a striker who is more skilled than you and hits like a train and you NEED to get him to the mat.

Any take down learned is a takedown you can choose to do if the other takedowns don't work.

But yea, it would definitely be preffered not to land into his guard. But if you apply it fast the opponent doing the takedown can usually remain standing, while only the takedownee is on the mat.

I've actually got it down to a science where as we're going to the mat I my right elbow (right as step 5 is happening)on that inner thigh to pop at least my right leg through and end in 1/2 or side. It is risky and I wouldn't do it on someone who is an accomplished ground fighter, you'd end up in a triangle.

Anytime your either pulling guard or being forced back into guard, you should have game plan set up and a move in mind before you even hit the mat like Bruceleeroy said. Or take control of a wrist or something on your way down so your not just laying and praying. Oh, nice take down by the way. Smile

My biggest strength is my strength because I'm strong. That's my biggest strength.

but still an ippon if ur a judoka. /*hopefully the headbutt is considered 'accidental' by Mr. Ref*/

The strong man is not the one who wrestles, but controls himself in a fit of rage.

i love these and runnin straight through

I prefer more of a shoulder bump than a head butt.

This morote gari was popular in the old-time Judo/jujutsu days as an entry into a standing double ankle lock.

Another way is in one quick motion pull his head toward you and then as he is pulling back let go and pop him in the shoulder with your forarm before shooting!

good takedown, nice set up
