Knee Bar from 1/2 Mount vs Leg Over

Saw this technique on a video awhile back, and it fit in perfectly with my half guard pass game.

Im on my hip in Bildo's 1/2 guard. I have mt left arm in Bildo's armbit and am looking to finish the guard pass
Bildo pushes hy head forward
Bildo throws his leg over my head
I arch my head back, lock my hands around Bildo's hip and slide my right leg down to Bildo's ankle.
Once my right leg is in place, I put my left foot over my right. To finish the kneebar, I pull both feet backwards and arch my hips.

awesome move Chaz..this could work wonders with a wrestlers cradle too. I have to experiment with it ..thanx again

Ive never had anyone try that from under me in half guard??? lol. That is not to say it does not happen. I think that a better application would be from an electric chair sweep as the guy is swept and rolling over onto his back and you are coming up. I discovered it about 3 years ago. try this out, this same kneebar is there almost everytime.

Ju-jumbo I hear you, good add. This happens to me because I underhook that leg alot working for the pass.

Sneaky, sneaky, me likey

I have seen Erik Paulson show this position from an arm bar escape (lock arms to prevent arm bar then swing up onto knees, push one leg to the mat with your elbow then step over, turn your back to the opponent a bit and the knee bar and that whole position is now accessible) the highest leg if is still over your head is open to a great compression lock using the head as a wedge. I want to try that unorthodox triangle manouver, it looks like a setup for a Peruvian Necktie

Being attacked is like being asked a question- if you answer right you won't get asked anymore questions.

Super-sweet kneebar, Chaz. I'd love to learn more set-ups to this.

And the picture of Sakuraba for Kneebar Month is perfect.
