Oh so effective, yet oh so simple.
The reaping leg should be stiff. You need to point your toes like you're punting a football and keep your foot pointed the entire time your leg comes through. This will help the reaping leg do its job much better and avoid someone fighting it.
And its the turning of the person that helps them be off balance as well. Not just the step to the side.
