Leg Slicer

The 'Leg Slicer' is a creative varition of a compression lock that can be captured from a pass attemp of your opponent's guard.

  • Step 1
  • I start in Caleb's open guard
  • Step 2
  • Using my left forearm, I push Caleb's right thigh to the mat.
  • Step 3
  • I slide my left knee inside my left arm ontop of Caleb's right inner thigh.
  • Step 4
  • From step 3, I slide my right knee in front of Caleb's right instep as I position my left lower shin tightly into the back of Caleb's right knee. (*Note- sometimes your opponent's leg will not be in the right position for you to simply use your leg, In this case you can reach with opposite hand to grab your opponents leg to assist this move.)
  • Step 5
  • I drive my right hip into Caleb as I triangle my left foot with my right leg.
  • Step 6
  • Keeping tight, I underhook Caleb's left thigh with my right hand.
  • Other Side View...
  • From the other side you can see that my left hand is on Caleb's right hip.
  • Step 7
  • Once the underhook is in place, I maintain a tight grip as I roll backwards to my left hip.
  • Step 8
  • I reach over the back of Caleb's right leg and grip my left hand, as I keep my head pressed into Caleb's left thigh.
  • Step 9
  • I grip my hands together and I pull Caleb's hip towards me as I arch my hips forward to force my left shinbone into the back of Caleb's bent knee to finish the submission.
  • Another angle..
  • The other side view of the same finish.
